“Hobbit Place-names: A Linguistic Excursion through the Shire” has just been published, using my watercolour “Three is Company” for the cover.
I’ve been looking forward to this book ever since the author Rainer Nagel held a fascinating lecture about place names in the Shire at the Tolkien Seminar in Mainz in 2006.
